ABOUT ME
Mr Selvan graduated from University of Liverpool with Honours.
He completed his surgical training and specialist training in Trauma and Orthopaedics in the Mersey rotation.
Following successful completion of training and attaining his Fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons, Mr Selvan completed his knee fellowship at Stepping Hill Hospital under Professor Turner and Mr Johnson.

Mr Selvan currently works at Southport and Ormskirk NHS Trust as a Consultant in Trauma and Orthopaedics with a special interest in knee surgery.
​
Mr Selvan is very keen on patient outcomes following hip and knee replacements and is the NHS departmental lead for the Enhanced Recovery program, which looks at getting the best outcome for patients undergoing these surgeries. He is also part of the National Knee group that ensures that the knee implants used in the UK are safe and given a rating (ODEP).

Mr Selvan has a very keen interest in teaching and training doctors and allied health professional and is the Royal College tutor for the Orthopaedic department in his NHS practice and is recognised by the GMC as a trainer. Mr Selvan is also a Member of the Faculty of Surgical Trainers of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh which is attained for outstanding training in surgery.

PERSONAL:
Mr Selvan enjoys sports and continues to play cricket and hockey in his spare time.
He loves travelling and has travelled the world extensively and continues to do so.
